1)  mathew arnold's concept of comparison and the concept of disintresredness is really perfect in this regard. the critic should be good at reading so that he can compare any literary work and judge well. he should not have any prejudice in his mind.

2)   this second idea is not appropriate for recent time because every work has it's own importante  we cannot ralate any work with any other work and everyone has their own choice to convey ideas &thought.
